Welcome to our Learning Space!
Have you visited our Learning Space? Our free to access family friendly learning space is filled with self-guided activities all inspired by Dylan Thomas, creative writing, and our museum collections.
Our team are experienced in developing and designing activities for children and young people with accessibility at their heart. Activities change on a regular basis and include magnetic poetry, story cubes, pop up sensory space, creative writing activities, sensory toys, things to make, word games, reading corner with books and comics, dressing up costumes, and puppets.
We also have a brilliant, dedicated team of volunteers working on creating accessible resources for the space such as tactile finger puppets, giant story telling cubes, and wheelchair accessible fancy dress costumes.
Here’s what families are saying about it:
‘Amazing activity room with things of all ages to do’
‘Very relaxed, informative, creative, interactive, toddler & baby friendly & lots of fun 😀’
Rachel, Jon, Griff and Gwen
‘The play room was really fun’
On the ground floor just through our free Exhibition, the Learning Space is open regularly; please see www.dylanthomas.com/events or ring the Centre on 01792 463980 (Wednesday to Sunday) for days and times of opening.
And if you can’t join us in person, we have loads of free activities ideas online: www.dylanthomas.com/activities-and-downloads/.
