To mark the centenary of the start of World War One Lighthouse Theatre presents a touching new play by Stuart Fortey about two minds meeting in the most of devastating circumstances. The play is set in 1917 is about the soldier and leading war poet Wilfred Owen who is recovering from shell-shock. He encounters Lieutenant-Colonel Gray in the Clifton Hotel in Scarborough; both are facing their own unspeakable demons far away from the trenches.
Wilfred Owen was a one of Dylan Thomas’ favourite poets; this performance will be preceded by a reading of Dylan Thomas’ famous broadcast, ‘Wilfred Owen’.
