Francesca Rhydderch, Katherine Stansfield and Alix Nathan discuss their work with Parthian’s editor Richard Davies.

Katherine Stansfield is a fiction writer and poet. Her debut novel The Visitor was published by Parthian in 2013, and her first collection of poems, Playing House, will be published by Seren in 2014. Originally from Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, she now lives in Aberystwyth and is a lecturer in creative writing at Aberystwyth University.

Alix Nathan lives in the Welsh Marches where she writes historical and contemporary fiction.  Her collection of short stories, His Last Fire, comes out in April 2014 and her novel, The Flight of Sarah Battle, in Spring 2015.  Both are published by Parthian.

Francesca Rhydderch‘s short stories have been published in magazines and anthologies, and broadcast on Radio 4. Her début novel, The Rice Paper Diaries, a Second World War fiction set in Hong Kong and Wales, was published in May 2013. She has also been awarded a Literature Wales bursary to work on her first collection of short stories. Other recent projects include a play in Welsh, Cyfaill, about iconic Welsh-language writer Kate Roberts, for Theatr Bara Caws.
