A fan of westerns, horror, gothic and surreal films, from The Mummy’s Curse to Charlie Chaplin, the Marx Brothers and The Old Dark House, Dylan watched many films in the fleapit cinemas of Swansea.  The tour goes to three of these cinemas with a talk in a secret space at a fourth; the Carlton (now flea-free and host to Waterstones Bookshop).  The event features author and scriptwriter Andrew Davies, expert and Dylan Thomas Society Chairman Jeff Towns and festival organiser, film specialist and producer Berwyn Rowlands.  The evening will culminate with an introduced screening of Andrew Davies’ new drama ‘A Poet in New York’, followed by a question and answer session at the Grand Theatre.
