Swansea University’s Professor John Goodby reveals a long-lost Dylan Thomas poem in this illustrated talk. ‘A Dream of Winter’ is a beautiful lyric written by Thomas in response to a series of 8 photographs, and published in a London journal in 1942. The photographers featured include Brandt and Brassai.
Goodby – editor of Dylan Thomas’ Collected Poems, and the critical study Under the Spelling Wall: The Poetry of Dylan Thomas – will discuss the poem and the story behind its rediscovery.
